Easy Resume Creator Pro is an effective tool for building a resume. What’s more, it provides a cover letter writing program in with the mix, which would normally cost extra. It offers particularly good value for money to educational institutes and businesses, allowing multiple users to create and save resumes.
Being able to store resumes for different users is a fairly special feature of EasyResumeCreatorPro. This means that a variety of people can log in and save their resumes safely, making edits as they’re needed by logging into their personal profile. It’s surprising that the individual licence costs only a little less than the educational and business packages, though, meaning that individuals don’t get quite such a good deal.
Though we don’t doubt that this software has the basic functions and tools to help you build a decent, professional resume, it does feel lacking in some areas. Design features are limited and you cannot convert files or extract information from your social networking sites, such as LinkedIn. There are also no mobile apps, which makes this a little out-dated.
The main tools are fine, if a little basic. They offer a spellchecker (exciting, right?) and some set phrases, but the main selling point appears to be their range of templates and samples. Even then, there aren’t as many templates and samples to choose from as you’ll find elsewhere. Therefore, the system feels a little weak in place and you need to do more of the leg work when it comes to writing your resume.
The software is easy to use once you’ve explored it a little, but it’s quite drab and uninspiring. Still, the end product looks fine and should read well assuming you’ve some writing capabilities. The system also integrates with Microsoft Office.
Job hunting can be a pain, but thankfully Easy Resume Creator Pro helps you to seek out employment opportunities. You can check out jobs boards or sign up to access other job-seeking sites which will update you on new vacancies.
Resumes can be uploaded to a unique web address, which you can then send to potential employers. This allows them to open it safely, without having to worry about dodgy files being sent over email. This also means that you can quickly access your resume if you ever need to check on some of the details.
The site hosts a few further resources, such as employment documents and additional information for job seekers. Additionally, you can keep a record of employers you’ve approached using the contact organizer.
To conclude, EasyResumeCreator Pro does feel a bit dated. However, it’s not a bad system and offers good value for money if you plan to use it with a group of people. There’s a 15 day free trial, which is worth checking out, but this software won’t set the resume-writing world on fire.
